    T9600 2.8GHz
15.4 WSXGA+ (My eyes hurt with WUXGA on a 15")
    4GB DDR3 RAM
    160GB HDD 7200RPM
    INT.WIFI 5300
    Fingerprint Reader
    6 Cell Battery
    w/Cam
    CD-RW/DVD/ROM
    BT
    3 year Protection + Accidental

    +90W Slim AC/DC (I travel a lot)
    +Ultrabay Battery (Worth it?)
    +1 Year LoJack (Worth It?)

All for $2400.00 tax and shipping included...

Student Discount + the deal they are having...

I would have bought the HDD and RAM separate but the prices they had were pretty much the same as ordering and shipping it from Newegg.

What do you guys think? Supposed to have the accessories in a couple days, and hopefully the notebook itself will be on it's way earlier than expected.

Nice. tell us how it compares to your alienware when you get it, in terms of build quality, screen, and performance.

I decided to stick with my PS3 for games for now. I might put FEAR and BioShock on here, but I'll be buying BioShock, Dead Space, and Fallout 3 next month for the PS3. Maybe when I decide to build a desktop I'll get back into PC gaming. The W500 will be for School and work. I'm majoring in Architecture.

..WOW...I ordered mine half month ago, 2G, and the 5400 drive, the 2.53 G cpu, I don't need the fingerreader, and everything else the same for just 15XX...why not save your bucks for a later upgrade? my shipdate should be 10/1 and I am waiting for that.

Pretty much because the upgrades cost the same as if I were to go out and upgrade later. I looked into buying memory and a HDD on Newegg and it was cheaper to just have Lenovo put it in than to order it separate and install it myself.

I will let you know how the battery does!
