I have another question about the W500 with the WUXGA display. I was going
To order a WUXGA display but was worried about the font size so I decided to
Order a WSXGA+, and now it is on back order 3-4 weeks, and really need it by the
Middle of September. So now, I am back to the possibility of the WUXGA display
I know it has been mentioned in past post that you can change the size of the font.
My question is that accomplished by changing the DPI. I really wish I could see
The display before I bought it
Thanks,
Al

Look in the outlet. There's probably some WSXGA+ in there. DPI adjustments work better in Vista/Seven. I suppose it will depend on which OS you're using.

Thanks for the help. I am not sure what I will end up doing

I have the same dilemma...but I will probably go with WXGA on my 15" T500 considering for mobile use this res is adequate. When docked, I'll have it hooked to a +20" monitor so no worries there with higher res.

I'm running Windows 7 on my WUXGA screen and have the 125% option (Medium) selected under "Resolution - Make text items smaller or larger". Everything is perfect for me. The only issue I run into is that not all applications behave correctly. I have a couple where the fonts become too large and the text is truncated, but it's not really enough to be a big deal. I can always just change it back to 100% (which forces a logout / login) and I'm back to normal.
I do really like the the WUXGA screen however, it's very nice.
The other thing you can do is drop the WUXGA resolution down to that of the WXSGA+. It's not quite as sharp, but I find it more than usable and have used that several times as well.
