Does anyone know if this 2.5 inch 640gb hard drive will work with the W500? I've read that some laptops have problems with the ones above 500 gigabyes, so I want to make sure this will work.

Edit: Also, does anyone know of a link or walkthrough on changing the W500 keyboard to the T61p's keyboard?

That will work. I've not heard of any issues.

There's a link in the sticky to the service and training site, which looks like what you need.

check the BIOS release notes regarding the 640 gigger. that is a whopper of space. Why not get 2 and put on in the ultrabay so you have >1T?

I foresee no issues with the 640GB, though I might point out a 500GB 7200RPM will give a performance uptick, which may, depending on your needs, be more important than the extra space.
