    The difference is only $215 USD I'd say definitely. Someone is going to trade your w500 + $300 AUD on your end for a w530 FHD.

    Yes but I don't know how much utility you place on the 1200p screen and superior keyboard. You'd be getting a good deal.

    I switch between 'old-style' (T60, X201) and chiclet (T530) keyboards regularly, and both are very good. I've seen reports that very fast typists have trouble with the chiclet keyboards, but I've never had a problem (I'm probably a medium-to-fast typist).

    The 16:10 screen would be nice, though. If only Lenovo had been a leader over the past several years... (sigh)

    I held onto a 1600x1200 IPS T60 as my main machine up to about 3 years ago. Even with a fast SSD and the max 4GB of RAM, it just got to feel painfully slow (even browsers feel sluggish on it at this point).
