i was not believing those posters that says the trackpoint touches the screen bycause my told A31, T42P wasn't!

but now i just realized they do :(

    WHY LENOVO WHY !!

i hate people putting their fingers on my L220x or my LCDs now i have to clean the monitor EVERYtime i startup my laptop because the trackpoint touches my screen ?!

i'm afraid that it will mark permanently from the opening and closing the screen ?!

I have a T61 where my TrackPoint touched my screen when closed, but only enough to leave a slight mark. That was for only a couple months when I received the system. Now I don't get it anymore for some reason. I guess I'm trying to say that eventually, it may stop. If not, you can always slide a piece of cloth on the pointing stick before closing.

Try a LCD cleaning spray and microfiber cloth and it should fairly easily remove the mark.

There are 3 types of trackpoints.
One is the dome type, one is also the dome type but a bit furry and the last one is the crown type.

Maybe you can do a search on eBay.. You can have a look.

I think the crown type will protude a bit taller.. But hey, I like to use this, more easy to use.. :D
