I have a W510 with the i7-820QM, running Prime95 and Blend test i get a temperature on all cores after 10 minutes of about 82c in Realtemp.

Is this what other W510 users get? is the cooling on W510 not designed well like most Thinkpads?

That sounds about right. Put the same CPU in a T410 and it might just run up to 95C. It is a quad core with a 45W TDP, it will run hot.

Mine is about 90C after half an hour of running Prime95.
