Well, it seems that I got no luck this time. I have purchased many thinkpad laptops, including T40, T500, T410 and X301. Last month I ordered a W520 for my 3D work. It came this Monday. However I suddenly found out a big problem.

What I found is that my screen (FHD) looses contact with the screen bezel (frame). There is a big gap between screen and frame. I can easily put something in it. I did some research and found out it is called bezel separation problem, which is mostly found with Lenovo laptops.
    Here are some other links:

I am wondering if the new W520 have same problem.

just get to know the formal name of this problem is the bezel separation problem.

"The frame on the left and right sides can be moved and make a sound when squeezing on it."

This probelm has been reported by several posts.

I almost can't believe this, but yet an entirely new class of problem on my w510...

The front plastic moulding on the top corners (both left, and right) is starting to separate away from the main screen case. The separation is wide enough that I can actually see light through the gaps. For the life of me I can't believe there isn't some sort of adhesive or screws there to keep it together.

I can only assume this will be an entry point fo dust, etc.

Can people reading this with w510's take a look at theirs and see if they too have any separation, maybe run a finger nail there and see if it feels "loose" at all?
    FWIW, I have the 1680x900 (HD+) version.
