I travel enough to want a notebook, but not enough that I need a light one (in mostly travels in my roller bag). I was drawn to the W 510 because of the high quality display (I have been somewhat unhappy with the display on my T 60). I read a helpful review where someone liked the W 510 overall, but was unhappy with the keyboard. Have others had this concern?

I've heard relatively few complaints about the keyboard in the Tx10 and Wx10 generations. Which review are you referring to?

When I switched from my T61p (with the "good" keyboard brand/model) to the W510, I found the keyboard mushy for the first few days. It also had a little flex around the cursor keys.

But after getting used to it, I don't have any complaint at all. It feels very solid and pleasant to type on, and the keys are rather quiet, too. It also handles abuse (gaming) without problems. The flex is gone after tightening one of the screws holding the keyboard.

Some of the intial keyboards that shipped with the W510 were defective and dropped key presses. I have not seen any complaints in months so it appears that has been resolved.

I like the new keyboards on the W510.
