It appears the W510 and T510 have the same dimensions and weigh (though I get this from tabook, as I can't find W510 specs on the website). Is that right?

If so, I think there's no feature that the T510 has over the W510 other than cost. If there is anything I'm missing/should be considering, let me know. There are several features in the W510 that would be valuable to me.

It's probably a lot like the T500 and W500, with the main differences being the GPU and the quads on the W.

Yep, seems like even the high end screen options are available on the T-line just as for the W. That is excellent, as the only reason I bought a W500 over a T500 was for the WUXGA screen. Now the only separation is in the gpu and the cpu - both of which have more grunt on the W510, but use more power and cost more.

I wish they offered the 95% gamut on the T510 with Intel GPU. I might be interested in that as I'd prefer the battery life to the graphical oomph. That might be worth upgrading.

An interesting observation, and a strange decision, as the new integrated gpu will be just ample for most users - including many who would much prefer (or even insist on) the high end screen. Given the choices, I would have to go for the dedicated gpu in order to get the high end screen. In my W500 I now use the dedicated gpu all the time, as in Win7 the integrated gpu for some reason makes the fan run more, not less - not what one should expect. :) I hardly ever use the computer away from the mains, so battery life is not an issue - the battery serves as a built-in uninterruptible power supply.

On the US site, you can order the FHD screen on the T510 with the 95% gamut:

"15.6" FHD Display (95% Gamut, 270nit) with LED Backlight [add $212.50]"

    This is what I ordered.

On the Canadian site, this option doesn't appear to be available.

[Update: Ooops...I wasn't paying attention. I ordered the "Elite" model; integrated GPU, as you stated, doesn't support the 95% gamut for some reason]

I thought only the W510 got the 2 mythical USB 3.0 ports

Four RAM banks are also unique to the W510, I think.

That's what I'm saying. To get the 95% gamut screen you'd need the Elite T510 with the dedicated, which is a 50% premium over the standard T510. The screen is probably inferior to what I've got now, but the ability to run a SSD at it's full capacity might make it worth it. I am however not paying $1,500 for it.

How many hours battery life does the W510 have with these Quads?
