    W520 TPM and Bitlocker

    Has anyone been able to turn on Bitlocker with their W520? I keep getting an error that Windows cannot read the keys from the TPM when I do the reboot test prior to encrypting.

    TPM is on in the bios and I setup the ownership and password in Windows 7. Never had this issue with a Thinkpad before.

    Did you try clearing the data in the BIOS?

    Yep. I found another thread for an X220 owner with the issue. Appears to be a problem with the UEFI BIOS. I guess I have to wait for a BIOS update.

    Or switch to legacy. The gold rush to UEFI for a couple of seconds of boot time is silly to me.
