    Hi guys,

In short, I have received a defective W520 from Lenovo, had it replaced and just now got the replacement. This laptop supposedly has the same exact hardware (particularly for this discussion, a 160GB SSD) and software. When I ran the windows experience index assessment, my laptop received a score of 7.7 in the primary hard disk category, even though the original (defective) laptop received a score of 7.8. How can this difference be explained? What factors other than the actual hardware can affect the score?

Also, I'd be interested to know what windows experience ratings did guys with similar systems to mine get (2820QM processor, 8GB memory, Quadro2000M, 160GB SSD).

    Thanks!

There will be some inconsistencies across the same configuration (or even the same hardware) on different runs of the WEI assessment. Try running it again.
