I have put a Samsung 264 GB ssd in my w520 and done an entire Windows7 sysgen.
At the end of the sysgen the system cannot boot.
Has anyone either had such a problem or a solution.

This thread is indeed confusing, Renee please re-phrase the problem you're having...

I have a w520 and I have put a Samsung 256GB ssd on it.
It will not complete the lenovo Windows 7 install.
Oh, I see, the 'Sysgen" is confusing you. That means 'instal" in computer language.

How are you trying to install Windows on your SSD?
- Clean Install using the original Windows 7 ISO's?
** Are you using the bootable USB install? Is this an UEFI install?
- Lenovo Recovery DVD's?
- Cloning Tools (not recommended IMO). -
-
No. They are Lenovo recovery DVDs. I am doing a clean install.
