    Hi guys,

I have a W520 (with Quadro 2000m) and I want to connect it to my TV in order to watch movies (so both image and sound should go to the TV). What cable/s do I need to buy? Does it depend on the TV that I have? I would of course prefer being able to watch in HD if possible.

    Thanks!

Since the w520 has a DP++ port you can get almost any DP to HDMI cable, it should carry video and audio.

You can also try Intel WiDi. You get wireless display, but the adapter will cost you about $200.

well you can get a normal DP to HDMI adapter from places like ebay. But what TV do you have?

Be careful with the displayport -> HDMI adaptors. I recently bought a cheap one and it worked (audio & video); however, removing the adaptor from the slot was almost impossible without breaking it.
If you are going to spend 30-40 on a good quality adaptor, consider a WIDI adapter, that sometimes can be found for 100 dollars. I recently bought the D-link for that price. I am very impressed by the simplicity and results of that technology. Delay doesn't bother for videos & sound (they are delayed but synced, so you don't notice it). The only caveat is that for games the delay is too much.

The DP to HDMI converter from monoprice works great. That's what I use. The one I bought had a review specifically mentioning using it with the W520. Don't bother spending a ton of money on this, it's not worth it.

Keep in mind that you must force 0-255 RGB Full Range in the Graphics Control Panel to get the best quality of visual experience.
