    Hello,

I have a very frustating problem.

I was using W520 + mini dock 3 plus + 2x external EIZO monitors in DVI ports for years without any problem.

I have optimus disabled in BIOS, W520 is closed and every time I turn it ON I got two external screens just perfect.

    However.

I had to reinstall my system, and I am unable to get this configuration working again. My BIOS setup is untouched, I just reinstalled windows 7 64bit just I had before, and the second screen is not working. I just had only one external screen, or NTB+external, but I need two externals.

I tried to reinstall nVidia drivers, and funny thing was that after that I had both screens. So I was happy, but until first powercycle, I turned ntb ON and I have only one screen again.

I see two displays in device manager (I don't know if I should see here three or not), but windows recognizes only one of my EIZOs. Both screens are OK, cables OK. I just have only one output. I tried also fn+screens all settings, nothing.

I don't remember if I had this issue before, since as I was using this setup for years without any problem.

P.S.: thinkvantage system update is still pushing me into installing nVidia drivers, but I have them, installed them from the system update. I don't know why and I red that other people have this issue too.

    Thanks for any help

I am no help with the dock and external monitors.

My W530 though through system update had the same issue with nVidia drivers. The system appeared to work normally. Every time I ran system update there it was in the update list.

I had the motherboard replaced for another reason recently and when running system update the drivers did install.

If you still have warranty I suggest making a call.
