I like some people buy scrapped or broken laptops time to time for rebuilding purposes so I recently scored a W520 for $200 shipped. Missing battery that is no bid deal, spent $35 for a new legit 170w charger, will need to fix the hinge and the plastic cover, and missing hard drive. Spent an extra $60 on a spare board that has the Quadro 1000M that normally goes for $140+ as insurance.

    i7 2720qm
    8GB ram
    FHD screen
    Quadro 1000M
Extra Board with 30 day return policy

Total spent $291 so far but still need to buy two things. Might use the spare board if all goes well in my spare T520 as an upgrade.

Very good deal, if the W520 is what you were looking for and remains appropriate for your workflow.

These are fine machines. Enjoy yours.
