Hey guys. As a student, I use my W530 for a bit of gaming on the side, and I've noticed that if I'm playing a game and the power brick gets disconnected, either at the wall or at the laptop, it will freeze my computer, and most of the time it will blue-screen. I'm assuming this has something to do with Optimus, but I was wondering if anybody has had this issue, and more importantly, if anyone has fixed it. Thanks guys.

The latest BIOS update (2.51) is supposed to fix that issue.
edit: Hey, it looks like there's a 2.52 out now! But at any rate, you can get the latest BIOS from here: Drivers and software - ThinkPad W530 and that should fix the issue. -
I notice it says its for the UEFI BIOS. I, however, am using the Legacy BIOS. It's the same thing, right?
EDIT: I did it anyway after I read te readme, which also said that the problem was fixed. Thank you for your help, djembe -
Yes, it's the same thing. I'm glad it worked for you!
