    Hi,

Today I received my new w530. It has a mini display port marked with a symbol which is similar to "DP++". Can I use arbitrary mini display port to DVI adapter cables, or does only the expensive Lenovo works?

I seriously doubt the Lenovo cable is required. I have a mini DP to DP, and a mini DP to VGA adapter that work with my Retina Thunderbolts. If they work with the Mac, they'd better work with the ThinkPad.
