Hello - recently got a W540 for the office. It has the 100Wh battery. Noticed this when I removed the battery from the laptop: if I gently shake the battery, the battery makes a slight metal/rattling sound, as if bits are loose on the inside. When I connect it onto the laptop - it seems to be less rattling. I think it might be a quality control issues? Not keen on the idea of using faulty battery on a workstation. Would the best thing to do be to replace this battery asap?

Also could anyone with a W540 (with bigger cell battery especially) know if this is normal? (the only other W540 battery I have, a 6 cell battery - is super solid / no shaking / rattling whatsoever when shaked).

just shook mine and it's solid. I'd definitely not use that battery.
