    Hi guys,

Got question if that's okay. Recently got a used W541 for work (i7, matched RAM upgraded from 8GB; Quadro, SSD). It often overheated initially. It also often had BSOD - saying "PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA/memory management". I thought it was to do with the temperature.

Sent it in for servicing, I think they replaced the fan (gratefully, it now running in the mid 50-70s at idle. After I wiped W8.1 to clean install 10, however, the BSOD returned. It's running with the latest bios. The RAMs passed the extended diagnostics (also tried 4x new ram from Lenovo). I think it's something else.

Have googled and found that it might be caused by Windows update automatic downloading incompatible drivers/updates. So I reinstalled Win 10 without internet, disabled some extra bios setting, changed UEFI to legacy boot; then manually installed the Lenovo updates one by one (except for Quadro/Intel HD driver which I directly downloaded); finally disabled the system paging file. The issue seems to have gone away now. Just to be in the clear, has anyone else using W541 had similar issue? (do you reckon it's just the windows auto update caused?)
