    W7 wireless problem solved - plus question

    I had terrible wirelles connection - intermittent dropouts, slow connections, etc (T60p, Atheros card, W7 ultimate).
    I looked at the device managed and found out that next to the wireless adapter these was an item called Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport adapter.
    I disabled it and things seems to works smoothly now.

    What negative effect can I expect by disabling this thingy?
