Just visited the lenovo-shop and built a w700. I'm a little confused regarding the warranty options.

Well, you only can choose 1 year depot warranty.

    That's a joke, right?

That quadro FX 3700M option makes it more/as powerful as a 9800M Gtx.
    It has 128 shaders and a 51.2 GBit/S interface.

WOW... GJ Lenovo I'm getting one!

Hmmm, kind of weird. 9800M has 112 shaders, FX3700M comes with 128.

So which chip is the new quadro actually based on???

It seems that the NVIDIA graphics are having problem again and it may have an effect on the new W700

That's right. But how is this associated with the fact that those two cards differ from each other - especially in the number of shading units?

I really don't care about GPU issues. I want one :(
BluesmanI it won't affect Quadros. They're often cherrypicked graphic cards.

This thing will probably have the most powerful single card on the market for a while. 75W usage means this thing probably packs a punch more than the 9800 GTx. The shaders are a great plus. 51.2GBIt/S memory bandwidth indicates, to me, atleast that the power is equivalent clock-wise to the gtx 9800 to the very least

Hmmm, the question was, which chip is that new quadro based on?

Regarding the number of shaders (128) it's no 9800m gtx or lesser version. On the other hand I don't think there is a hole new mobile quadro chip.

Btw, the TDP means nothing. 3600M had a TDP of 70W, 8800m gts which 3600M is based on only has 35W.
