Reading online most of the results show that W701 has 280nit screen, is this for all of the options or is there a high nit screens? I know by default W700 have 400nit screens for WUXGA resolution.
Is there something similar for W701?
Also, is there much difference between 3700m or 3800m on these laptops? I find reviews online, but they are for different configuration of cards. Lenovo states that both of these have 128 cores and both have 1GB of memory. So not sure what the main difference is.
Also, does anyone know if W700 and W701 optical drives are interchangable?

the WXGA+ panel is 200 nits and the WUXGA panel is 280 nits.
the FX3800m has higher bandwidth (64GB/sec vs. 51.2GB/sec), newer OpenGL version (3.2 vs. 2.1), supports NVIEW, and has 32x FSAA (full-screen anti-aliasing). i believe the 3700m supports FSAA as well but i'm not sure of the speed. nvidia apparently dropped this info from their specs page.
optical drives are interchangeable between the W700 and W701. in fact, they have the same FRU numbers as these options didn't change. -
Thank You, I was getting confused with desktop version which said that they both have 51.2gb/sec

The screen on W701 may only be 280 nit but it's LED RGB, while the W700 has a CCFL screen. So the new one may display better gamut.
