The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Can someone with a W700 come forward and let me know either here, or privately by PM as to how you like it?? Worth the money? How's the LCD??

    I'm in the market for one... ;)

    I sure wish it had IPS!! I would HAVE the W700 right now if they didn't discontinue making IPS Flexview screens. Arghh...

    You are right that it has no flexview panel, but you can get the WUXGA screen with 400nit brightness rating. I think that should be pretty good :)

    I would wait for the outcome of the eventual '8730w vs. W700' duel.
    The screenshots from the recent NBR review are disappointing...
