I want to create a W701 with 6 os's and a backup partition.
What I did is I changed the BIOS setting hard disk to compatibility mode.
Formatted the HDD and deleted all present partitions
Split the HDD in 7 Partitions
1 --> XP 32
2 --> XP 64
3 --> Vista 32
4 --> Vista 64
5 --> 7 32bit
6 --> 7 64bit
7 --> Backup/restore
All installs are working fine but except Windows 7 64bit version, we are trying to install WIndows 7 Prof 64 bit. After you are choosing the language , he is asking a driver. Tried here the Interl Chopset driver where the IDE is part of, but no succes. strange fact here when choosing browse, he will prompt all patitions on the disk.
Have someone had the same issue and how did he has solved it?
Kind regards,
Philippe

Do you have the SATA operation in IDE, AHCI or RAID? If it's non-IDE you need may need the F6 SATA or RAID driver for the chipset.
-
In the bios you can choose RAID ACHI or compatibility mode(IDE).
I choosed the last one.

Don't use compatibility, you can use either RAID or AHCI. W7 already has the RAID drivers in it.
I've installed mine on AHCI just fine. -

It must be in compatibility mode for testing purposes.... Any idea how it can be fixed?
-
What do you mean? Switch to AHCI in the BIOS, is should allow you to do clean Windows 7 install without any additional drivers.

Wait if he has already installed all those other OS in IDE mode, changing to AHCI will force him to do the registry fix for all of those, or they won't boot..

All oter os's are installed now only the windows 7 64 bit....

Problem is solved
Slipstreamed SP1 into original DVV and now I'm able to install on compatibility mode, RAID & ACHI.
