I recently purchased a W701 Thinkpad. I would like to watch HD home movies on my 1080p TV but the unit does not have an HDMI port. I have other ports but I am not familiar with them, but I think that I could connect my laptop to the TV using one of them. What port should I use and what is the name of the cable that I need to get? Will I be able to output 1080p picture to the TV as well?

I would really appreciate the help.

Will I be able to watch the original video in 1080p on the TV with any of these adapters? Thank you.

There's no reason why you shouldn't be able to. However, I don't think there's audio in Lenovo's DVI interface. So, better to stick with the Displayport then.
