May I know what you mean by everywhere?

Because here in Canada it's not the case.

Does anyone know which online stores provide international shipping of Thinkpads to Hong Kong...

I know this is kinda ironic since its shipped from HK to US but in HK most T60s aren't available yet and its really pricey at HK14,998 for a 2007 series model with T2400 60G HDD and ATI graphics (Lenovo HK website). There aren some parallel imports from US available but again pricey... so I am wondering if I can get my hands on 2623 and have it shipped to HK...

Hey Joeycyw, sorry to keep asking you questions, but I'm real close to buying the same model T60 as you have, but I'm concerned about the screen. I've read a lot of reports that the 14" screen SXGA+ screen is very "dim", but it's hard for me to tell if these reports are anything I need to be concerned about. You seem to be very happy with your unit. Can you comment on the screen quality? I am not expecting it to be a super bright glossy unit, but I do need to be able to use it almost all day, practically every day.

Thanks, and I'm real glad you're so psyched about your machine. Good to hear. Congratulations!

PS I am also looking at the V6J and the SZ as the only real alternatives. I've ruled out the SZ as not being practical enough for all-day use. So it's V6J vs T60. Each hour I sway one way and then the other. I should just flip a coin, ha!

I am interested in this same model, but I am just curious about one thing. What are the exact specs of the DVD burner? Is it 4x/8x and DL too? Thanks.

I just sent my 2623 D6u back after new multi unit was sent and made no difference, Updated everything and it made no difference... jerky dvd playback. I even brought it back to Factory preload and it still did it. It's at my front door going back tomorrow, HEY JOEY CYW what drivers did you install? Did it work smoothly BEFORE you updated?? NOTHING fixed my skippy, jerky playback?!?!

They are sending another ... BY THE WAY>>> the screen is bright enough, not like a max bright or sony but good, Resolution makes for tiny fonts. I increase the font size to 130% and it maks life easier without changing resolution. If you drop resolution one step, and install Microsoft Clear Type Aplet, you can tweak the fonts in a lowr resolution to be sharper. I am still debation getting the Media Accelerator 950/XGA 14" as I am spooked with a lemon video problem

I just wrote a simple and short review for the 2623D6U, read it and ask me if you have any questions.

PS. I feel so lucky that my T60 didn't have any problems at all.
