    Hi everyone,

I am considering to buy a T43 right now. However, seeing how the T60s are coming out at a rapid pace, I am wondering how much performance difference are there going to be?

Since I am planning to install Vista onto this system after it comes out, is it still a good buy to go for a T43, or wait for a T60?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I would wait for the T60, looks like they might fix minor problems that were in the T43

How much performance difference (in terms of mild gaming and vista readiness) will there be if I can only afford:

    T43 Pentium M 750 1.86Ghz, with x300 64MB
    T60 Core Duo T2300 1.66ghz, with x1300 64MB

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

I think the 1.86 is equavalent to the 1.66

So performance wise, I wouldn't see much of an upgrade if I go for the T60?

How about the performance on the video card?

Please don't buy a T43 or Z60 for gaming. The T series is the business traveler series.

Ignore the gaming aspect on the system.

How about the ability to use all the visual functions on Vista?

Also "Business" performance-wise, how is the 1.86 Sonoma compared to the 1.66 core duo CPU?

Actually, the Z60m (w/ x600) handles games pretty well. My friend plays WoW on his all the time.

One of the big advantages on the new Duo Core processor is battery life. Much improved over PM.
