    I recently got a T530 from Lenovo.

I am now reviewing pre-installed software from Lenovo and want to delete some.

One of them is "SugarSync Manager". I am wondering whether any system functionality depends on this software. If not, I want to remove it.

Another one is "Corel Burn. Now Lenovo Edition". On this computer, there is already another pre-installed software called Roxio Creator Business Edition, which I am using. Can I remove "Corel Burn. Now Lenovo Edition" without impacting the system or other software?

Besides, I want to know whether any of you really use

    Corel DVD MovieFactory Lenovo Edition
    Corel WinDVD

I have been using Thinkpads for the past 4-5 years and saw this in many of my thinkpads, but I never used it. Does anyone really use it? Is it something really good in its own category?

    Thanks for any input!

    Cheers.

The unused pre-installed applications only occupy space on the main drive. You can selectively uninstall them as you wish, but you can always leave them there and don't look at them. Only some of them affect system performance because they are loaded directly or indirectly at Windows startup. Some of such programs can also be disabled.

I only keep Power Manager, Power Management Driver and On Screen Display. (I don't always do a clean Windows 7 installation.)

Thanks for the general guidance. I hope to hear specific answers! Keeping them without looking at them is certainly one strategy. I would like to test another approach: get rid of them :)

    Cheers!

    As I said:

Or you can always do a clean Windows install. Test that approach.

All of the software you listed are third party software, with no ties to device functionality. The Corel suite can be used to burn discs, but I prefer to use the more lightweight CDBurnerXP.
