    Hi all,

I would already like to place an order for a T510. But since it's new machine without any review, I am a little worried that it won't turn out good, or glitches not worked out.

Sales rep said if I'll have to return it, there'd be a 15% restocking fee. Is it usually avoidable? And how? Does anyone have any experience in it?

    Thanks!

If you are that concerned about the restocking fee, just wait for a review.

Yeah...but I kinda need a new laptop soon - going up to a conference and my T43p was old, slow and 'bad-battery' enough last year that I think would hinder my communication with people & note-taking.

If the T510 is good, then I can keep and use it. Just wonder if, just in case, can the restocking fee be waived.

Lenovo is pretty tough with their restocking fee. Not many have been able to have it waived. If you need a laptop soon perhaps it would be best to order a T400/500 if you want to stick with Thinkpads. With those machines you know what you are getting, the performance, battery life and build quality.

Well I heard they dropped the roll cage on the lid. So I'll wait until I'm postive that the new design is about as strong.
