    Hi guys.

I want to replace my T61's screen, hopefully through Lenovo, or otherwise.

Reason being, the quality is fine, but blacks are very much not black, but rather dark grey, which annoys the crap out of me, because I usually use dark themes with white text on black. The contrast suffers poorly.

Are there known product FRU's on WXGA screens that have better blacks, or is this kinda random?

edit: i'd be fine upgrading to a higher DPI screen if it had better blacks, but WXGA (1280x800) is fine for me.

Have you tried setting brightness at around 75% or lower? Many users actually do this :)

The thing is I don't know the options are all that better.
