This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Don't use Notebook Hardware Control. I am still trying to figure out exactly what it is doing, but so far what it has done is screwed with the ACPI bus, and locked the bios from controling the fan. You end up getting stuck in the low fan speed mode, and during games and such, your cpu and gpu temps skyrocket.

    Turning off NHC ends the problem it seems.
