    Hi,

More than once, I have found that my T61p under windows 7 does not go to sleep with the lid closed. Both times, I almost burned up my computer.

Until they fix the driver and/or BIOS, I would recommend making sure the computer is really asleep.

IMHO, the new power manager needs a major rewrite.

The Windows 7 power manager is garbage too.

I can't believe how stupid people are in thinking that Window 7 is a good operating system. The UI is abysmal, disorganized, and lacking icons. I cannot believe how long it takes to weed through a paragraph of text to run the computer, with so many adverbs it would make Strunk and White barf.

Windows 7 is pathetically slow, RAM hungry, NSAafied piece of garbage. The reviews really drank the Koolaid on it. Everyone bought into it, right down to the delayed service starting.

1GB for the privilege of booting Windows 64? Get lost!

    1. Windows is like a newborn baby that never gets changed.
    2. A new Windows 7/Vista installation feels like a six month old XP installation.

    Hey, I feel a little better now : )

I've had the same problem with my T61. When I put it to sleep, and close the lid before it goes to sleep, it stays on. When I open the lid again, the sleep process continues and sleeps.
