I have an almost three year old X41 tablet. I bought it when it first came out right before I left for uni. At the time I opted to buy the three year thinkvantage accidental protection warranty. At one point I was told on the phone that this warranty covers almost every type of damage I could do to the laptop.
I'm really, really happy that I bought the warranty because this PC has been a complete lemon. I've had the screen replaced twice. The mainboard replaced twice. And the hard-drive replaced once. I've had it in the shop twice a year since I bought it. Not the most pleasant user experience. That said I still really like the build quality and customer support from lenovo has been acceptable.
My question is: if perchance I accidentally spilled a venti size starbucks coffee all over the keyboard, and then sent it to lenovo what do you think they would do to it? Would they go through and replace all the components that were ruined? Would they replace the whole pc with a refurb x41? Would they replace it with a refurb x60 or x61 tablet?
This is all theoretical of course.
