I purchased a T61 on 4/17 (yet to arrive), and on the original order upgraded the warranty to 3 yrs + 3 yrs accidental protection. Using the warranty lookup, it shows only 1 year.

Seems like if the warranty is supposed to follow the laptop (as the Thinkpad Sticky suggests), then the full warranty would be shown on lookup. Is this not the case? Thanks.

The warranty lookup can be wrong. I'd give them a call and get it straightened out.

that happens to me, but i asked a Lenovo guy once on the phone when i had him for something else, and he looked deeper. everything was right. don't worry. as long as you have your receipt, that's further backup.

don't worry YET- the extra warranty you buy is actually a separate product; it is added to your system 2 -3 weeks later

Ok thanks guys. Once I get the laptop & decide for sure everything's good with it, I'll give them a call.
