Hi all,
I was just wondering: If I buy a TopSeller system from a retail store, what are my options for warranty? Do I have the choice of contacting Lenovo directly, or do I have to go through the store?
The reason I am asking is because the only place I know of around here (I live in Ottawa) that sells TopSeller configs is CompuSmart.. and lately they have been closing down a lot of stores. So although it is convenient to be able to bring the laptop to the store instead of going through the hassle of shipping it to Lenovo, I am worried what would happen if the store closes down!
Thanks
Faruk

The warranty is guaranteed by Lenovo, not the store.

Do any of the pre-configed configurations have international warranty?
I haven't found a single one yet. I'm trying to buy one, and ship it to europe. I've looked different Europe and US internet retailers that ship to europe and no models have that IWS (Internatinal Warranty Service) thing. So I'm kinda dissapointed... -
Can topseller warranties be upgraded through Lenovo? (I'd expect so, I mean it isn't a secret everyone makes a killing on it)
-
Yes they can.

So is it possible that I buy a Thinkpad in the US (wich doesn't have international warranty) and then upgrade the warranty here in europe so that it would be valid?
-
Last time I looked Ottawa wasn't in Europe.
-
Upgrade it to IWS or add a country to an existing IWS? No. It either comes with it or not. There is no upgrading to it.
-
How can you get a T400 with IWS?

Some have it by machine type. Look in the tabook.
