I need to get my keyboard replaced due to the mute button not working. Is there a number where I can call to make a request to send me the FRU? I definitely dont want them touching my x200s, and yes Im still under warranty.
Im sure this isnt the hardest thing to find, but its my first warranty request since I had my hp tx2510us and I dont want to use the electronic form.

im thinking you want to go here:
Lenovo Support - Home page
you can check your warranty status here:
Lenovo Support - Warranty and License Agreement
and find a local warranty service provider here:
Lenovo Support - Find a service provider -
I contacted a local repair shop hopefully they get back to me with info. Hopefully there is a way to get the FRU and replace it myself.

Normally a call to Lenovo of a faulty keyboard will just enable them to send you a new keyboard via the post as long its within warranty. It certainly be OTT if they ask you to send the whole unit back so they can swap out the keyboard.
You can have an idea of what FRU you need for your system by looking at the keyboard service parts section. -
Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
Just a word of advise, most local repair shops cannot repair Lenovo ThinkPads under warranty. My workplace is only authorized to ship it out under warranty.

keyboards are considered customer-replaceable, non-return parts. in the US, all you need to do is call lenovo support (800-426-7378), explain the issue, and set up a case. a replacement keyboard will be shipped to you directly for you to replace on your own. the broken keyboard need not be returned but will include a pre-paid shipping label for the damaged unit to return to the IBM recycle center.
Warranty request.
