    Watching T43 on a TV

    Hello,

    I have an IBM T43 and I am using the laptop to view it on my TV screen. I have a cable svideo -->> RCA, I am able to see the desktop and all other applications on the TV but it appears as B&W no colors. I have tried a few different TV sets and it is all acting the same( I have gone through all the display settings). Using a different laptop (T41) connected to the same TV with the same cable seems to work fine. I have connected the laptop to an external Proxima via svideo to svideo cable and it is working fine with colors. Unfortunately I don't have any svideo input on my TV. Douse any one know what might be the problem? As any one run into this problem before ?

    hmm, odd, maybe try going to the Access IBM console (hit the blue button on your T43) then go to "display" and toggle the color settings there -- you can add a color profile and see if that helps. what graphics card are you using?

    Thank you for your help,

    I have solved the problem by replacing the cable, I have no idea why the old cable works with a T41 but will not work with the T43.
