I've been able to use the webcam before but suddenly it won't work in any application. I've reinstalled the driver and tried the Camera metro app, Skype, and Google + Hangout. In all of them, I see this image instead of myself. The green light next to the camera turns on as well. Any ideas?

    Reinstall the camera driver.

They should rename "Windows 8" to "WholeScreen 1." Every little thing seems to take over the whole screen now -- and flat and boring.

    I've tried that already.

And I agree with you Kaso, I think I'll be going back to Windows 7. It's just way too oriented at touch input, not mouse and keyboard.

I like Windows 8 so far, it's a good implementation and foresight for the future of computing. Takes a day or two to get used to, heck I am already used to it anyways.
