Start > Control Panel > Scanners and Camera's > Select Your Web cam.

Or any other webcam compatible app.

anyone try it with logitech programs? my m1210 has a nice program that lets you take quick snaps, video, and the weird cartoon overlays...

the T61 reviews seem to indicate that the Thinkpad webcam software is junk

Doesn't show up for me either. Isn't there anything included in Vista that will operate it or let me see what it's doing?

Try finding and installing the drivers for the webcam off the Lenovo website.

What program am I supposed to use to get this thing to work? The drivers are working (had to install them myself), but I don't know what program to use. Is webcam software even installed?

Download either Yahoo or MSN messenger, and you'll be able to access the webcam under the menu options.

if the driver's working, but you can't seem to find it, try Google's Picasa.

it worked for me and my z61t

Maybe you can try with your FN Keyboard shortcut buttons. Previously I couldnt get bluetooth to work until I pressed the bluetooth button on the FN Keyboard shortcuts for my Y300.

I have a similar question as well: what is good webcam software to use for viewing your camera and taking pictures or videos?

I don't have my T61 yet (get it on Monday). I was wondering if there's also an integrated microphone with the camera or is it just the camera (apple and Dell have both mic and camera integrated)

There is a microphone on the T61. It is located to the right of the trackpad. I think the microphone is there regardless if you have the camera or not.

I can get mine to work in Yahoo messenger, however that should not the only way you can access it. Weird they would have a built in webcam and no video capture software to accompany it.

I just tested the camera on my new T61 (with XP) and it's quite decent.

    I found it under:

Start --> Accessories --> Scanner and Camera Wizard

Under XP there's no need to install any additional drivers, at least in my case.

I can't get it to show up under Yahoo. I installed the drivers on Vista, actually I used the XP drivers. It appears to be in the device manager, but it doesn't show up under Yahoo Messenger.

Use this software called Creative Webcam...it is truly awesome....it has a motion sensor thing ...so if you set it...and you walk away from your computer...and some other guy decides to check out your comp....it will automatically record it ...almost like a security camera.....you can set the specs for low or high sensitivity....and what field of view to focus the motion sensor on.....truly awesome!
