    Hey all,

So, recently I noticed that I'm getting weird artifacts with notification boxes in Windows Live Messenger and some of the stuff in Windows Live Mail. I do not see artifacts in any other program, and I can run games fine on both the iGPU and dGPU without any form of artifacting. The weird part is that it does not happen when I'm on discrete only, or when I'm using the generic VGA driver included with Windows. It only happens on integrated only or Optimus. I've tried a clean install, and the same thing happens. It is really annoying, so I would appreciate it if anyone could provide a possible solution.

    Thank you all in advance.

Here is an image of the issue, the rectangle on the left was cut out intentionally as that was my messenger window, the problem is with the notification box in the bottom right.

Did you try the latest video drivers directly from Nvidia?

    Yep, tried the latest drivers.

As I've stated, it does NOT occur with the Nvidia GPU, and only with the Intel GPU.

    Lol, don't be. :p

OK, an update, this problem is just getting weirder and weirder. I tried running OCCT GPU test to make sure that the GPU doesn't artifact while rendering stuff for a good 20 something minutes. The test picked up 0 errors, which means that it didn't artifact at all. I also stared at the screen for a good chunk of that 20 minutes, no artifacts noticed on the thing. Now, here's the strange part, if I start Windows Live Messenger WHILE the OCCT GPU test is running, it doesn't artifact. However, after I closed the OCCT GPU test, it artifacts again. Just to make sure that I was going crazy, I open/closed the OCCT GPU test and Windows Live Messenger several times, same results.

So, maybe it's just some issue with the current drivers which hopefully will be fixed in one of the next versions.

Hopefully, but Intel's driver support has been known to be... bleh, from my readings on the internet.
