I'm using the T400. It's idle, and goes to sleep. I lift the lid. It doesn't wake up. I close the lid, wait for the sleep indicator to light up, then lift the lid and it wakes up. This happens repeatedly. I can't figure out what setting is causing this to happen.

Anyone have a clue? I'd appreciate help in solving this deep mystery of the ages.

    ;)

Sounds normal. Hitting the power button wakes it up right

I don't think I explained it right: Here's what happens.

    Working.
    Close lid.
    Sleeps.
    Open lid.
Wakes up but screen stays black. (i.e., doesn't fully wake up.)
    Close lid again.
Wait for sleep indicator to show on outside of lid. (Moon icon.)
    Lift lid.
    NOW it wakes up.
