I've installed W7 (not Lenovo-branded) and have noticed that the whole day yesterday my battery was sitting at 99% and "not charging". Today it's sitting at 98% and still says "not charging". Weird... Does anyone know what could be wrong? At that rate, I only have 3 months left :D

Install ThinkVantage Power Manager and set your battery thresholds. It could be set to not charge above 95% to preserve the battery's health.

Thanks for the tip - I do have the Power Manager installed and charge threshold is set to fully charge. It sits at 99% now, but not charging again.

Would a battery gauge reset help? If it would, is it best to do overnight, as it says not to use the machine, or is it safe to still work on it?

I've drained the batter a bit (down to 85%) and now it's charging - let's see if that solves this issue or not...

Still no cigar :( It stopped at 83.64 Wh out of 84.07 and still shows 99% in the taskbar icon, although the battery picture in the Power Manager shows a 100% (this PM is really inaccurate in calculating the percentage then!). It also sits at "1 minute" remaining to charge for the past 5 or so minutes.

Ok, it got to a 100% some time during the night - I guess it just needed a kick in the guts (by using the battery a bit)...
