I have been using my T42 for a while now, but once in a while when I type away on forums, this beep (not exactly beep, but a sorta warning sound DU) comes up. Just now it showed up again.

It shouldn't be the power as I have 100% and am plugged into the AC adapter.

Is it because when I type my hand accidentally touch the touchpad or something? Does anyone have any idea what I am referring to here?

Could it be a noise from an advertisement?

Nope, it is definitely from the system... as in... I am pretty sure it's a problem with the hardware, not any software.

I am wondering if it's overheating, or because I press too hard when I type, or because my hands are touching the touchpads when I type etc... don't seem to know why.

I think it's a similar sound as to when you close the screen and it goes to sleep - then you hear a little beep. It's similar to that kinda sound.

That's really weird, haven't heard anything like that before. You might need to call support.

Alright I have figured out what triggers it

When I press C, V, N, and the M key all together, then the machine beeps.

Also happens when I press several other combinations of 4 keys, but not every random combination.

So far it's only these 4 keys altogether that triggers it... maybe somehow when I type I press keys together at times... I really don't know.

Does this happen on your machines?

I have a T42p and get the same results.

Not sure why. I also get the beep with...

    xcvb, cvb, vbn, bnm

    and several other key combinations.

I think it trying to tell you that you are pushing too many keys at once.

I was robbed by a sweet little old lady on a motorized cart and I didn't even see it coming.
