    I couldn't find a 7mm drive that had a capacity larger than 500GB. Seagate and Hitachi both make 500GB drives.

    No 9.5mm drive will fit without modifying the case, which may have consequences for your warranty. I did see Mushkin will be selling a 500GB mSATA next month. Paired with a 500GB hard drive or SSD would give you 1TB, though it's on the pricey side.

    Unofficially, it will work with modification. Officially 9.5mm drives don't fit in alot of new ThinkPads. As stated above, largest for now are 500 GB drives from Seagate and Hitachi.

    Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah I'd rather not have to modify anything. Looks like I'll just have to wait for 1TB to be available in 7mm
