    Hi I have a r30 that I would like to update the hard drive, what type does it use?

    I think it's just a 2.5" ATA drive.

    I suggest you open it up and take a look. If you are going to upgrade it, why not just see how to do it? Take a look at the label and whether or not it has pins sticking out.
