hey gang I know many of you have upgraded your yogas so please enlighten me.
I see a lot of threads where people are trying to sort out what sort of interface they have: mSATA? M2? mPCIe?
I took in a diseased unit that did not have its SSD so I can't just look up the model of the original SSD to figure out what is compatible, hence the question.
The plate, cable, Connector board are all there, original, undisturbed.

if you happen to have the SSD from an original, perhaps post the model/P/N and make - I can look it up.

just need to know what to go looking for

is this one? [danger: this is a Yoga 13 pull supposedly. even though the connector looks right, they can be physically equiv, but functionally dysfunctional...]

That's a mSATA, it even said right there on the image. M.2 SATA looks even smaller and it looks totally different. And mPCIe looks the same, but it would say so on the sticker.

In short, your one is mSATA.

Thx zero I had resolved . The stock image there indeed is MSATA but the connector in yoga 2 11 was m.2 m-key. Very few drives on market so I replaced with sata
The old part and its caddy going to eBay!
