    I'm looking at the A-DATA S596 64GB 2.5in Internal SATA Solid State Drive for my T400 -- how does one tell whether a particular drive/enclosure will fit one's laptop?

    Pretty much any 2.5 inch SATA ssd will fit your T400. A 1.8 inch will fit too but you'll have to get an adapter for those...
