I am trying to download MEI and I noticed that v7 has one set of supported chipsets and v8++ has another set of supported chipsets

my notebook came with v7.0.0.1144 and when I tried v8.xx it did work but I noticed a slight freeze in my laptop as soon as I installed them then it was gone but with the 7.xx series I never get that slight freeze...

So I am wondering maybe the 8.xxx are for desktop computers only or not compatible with the HM65 chipset?

Does anyone know what are all these chipsets highlighted below?

The highlighted chipsets are all for desktop motherboards and will be slightly different to those on a notebook motherboard. It's best to stick with drivers that are compatible with your notebook chipset to avoid odd behaviours like you had encountered, in your case this should be the UM/QM/QS67 mobile chipset.
