Hi, I am new to Lenovo and this board and I see a lot of people talking about model numbers such as, 2007's and 2623's...what do those mean? Thanks!

In different posts I have seen them mentioned, but on Lenovo's website if you go under "Support" and it asks you to selection; Brand (Notebooks), then Family (T60), and Type (1951, 1952...1956, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2613, 2623, 2637)...what are those numbers referring too?

well, I see...so, Lenovo just use some kind of system to classify their notebooks (product number, machine type ...). For example, your T60 have different configurations (CPU/GPU/HDD...) and all of them have different numbers. Also Lenovo use diffrent suffixes for different countries.

Anyway, no one is interested in those numbers, so if you see some of them here it's just a "quick" way to describe you system without listing all the specifications, and everyone can check it. Otherwise, I don't think that these is some logic or someting that you neeed to know about that.
