    Hey all...

So I called up Lenovo billing and actually got an honest-to-goodness HUMAN on the line - hooray. :)

We fixed the billing problem I was having, and they said everything was fine.

Does anybody know the values that the Billing Status on the status page goes through during the lifecycle of an order?

    Mine still says "In Process".

In process means that it may be being built and you will just have to wait. It will then move to shipped and you will get a tracking number. You then have to hope that your Thinkpad doesn't get held up in customs, or a two day shipment could turn in to several days. My x200t has been in process for about a week, it is scheduled to ship Friday (31 Oct 2008), but it could easily be pushed back (none of the x200 tablets have shipped yet).

When it goes to "shipping" does that mean it is shipping from China? So once it says shipping, you gotta still figure another 2 weeks +????

It does ship from China but it goes VERY FAST. My x200 left Shangai on a Saturday afternoon, was in Alaska that night, Kentucky on Sunday, and my doorstep by noon on Monday (although if you get held up in customs in Alaska things can get delayed).

If the customs gods are on your side, then you can get your ThinkPad in as few as two days from the ship date. If they are not, you can wait for a very long time.

Yes. I recommend that you build a sacrificial fire of any smuggled contraband that you have acquired over the years. That should appease the customs gods :D .
